about.
A love of fashion, art and color is what inspired my company, Style by Kristin DuPrey, by me, Kristin Winiasz-DuPrey.
I earned my degree in Fashion Design from Kent State University. Since then I have worked in various facets of the embroidery industry. I received most of my expertise in this industry from being a buyer/ product developer for the number one wholesaler in this industry Broder Bros. There I met great vendors, and developed products that specifically catered to the growing needs of the embroiderer. Since then, I worked for a manufacturer in China where I oversaw embroidery and clothing about to be imported to the USA.
I was always around the art of embroidery, but over the years, I began to realize that this can be done from my own home office. So, in 2001, I put together a business plan to purchase the best commercial embroidery machine in the market, the Barudan. This machine is capable of embroidering anything from a thick piece of leather to something as delicate as a pair of nylons. It can embroider 15 colors at one time with speeds up to 1200 stitches per minute. It is quite impressive!
I also enjoy the challenges that come along my way. I can take a scribble of a design that stuck in your head and turn that into a dress or a workable logo. (I'm not a trained graphic designer, but I can get you something!).
I have accounts nationwide and in Canada. I am willing to expand, but will always keep it personal. So if you want to be in good, experienced qualified hands, give me a call!
Thanks!
